The adoption of our first daughter introduced Jen and I to the world of foster care. Through the process we recognized the need for foster families and were able to experience firsthand the joys and struggles of being foster parents. We also got to see behind the scenes of the foster care workers and how overburdened they were because the system is flooded with children in need of homes. We also learned of the large number of children removed from the home solely because of poverty. Something as simple as a bed could keep a family together through some of the most trying times of their life. We knew we had to do something so we started Rise Foster Care Prevention with the hope that we would be able to partner with families to see them propelled into the life they were meant to live. We look forward to partnering with you to accomplish this mission. Let's change the world together!
